Leah Chasen, MA, ATR, MFT, is a registered Art Therapist, educator, and consultant. She has developed and taught child-centered art curriculums for over 30 years.
For 12 years, Leah worked as a Clinical Art Therapist at the Dubnoff Center for Child Development and Educational Therapy and coordinated the school-based mental health program at several LAUSD elementary schools in North Hollywood, CA.
Leah has served as art consultant to Crossroads Elementary School where she co-created and implemented an integrative art curriculum.
Leah has led workshops for parents, educators and counselors on issues related to: utilizing art therapy tools in the classroom, bonding with your child through the creative process, and using art to assist children through transition.
As a practicing yogi for over 20 years with a certification in Khalsa Way Prenatal Yoga, Leah is interested in the journey of connection to one's creative inner wisdom through, yoga, movement, breath, meditation, and the art process. This interest has led her to develop transformative healing art experiences for women through her monthly Devi Circles held at her studio in Santa Monica.
In addition, Leah continues to enjoy providing creative art experiences for children, blending art therapy techniques with aspects of Reggio Emilia Education philosophy.
